I was born and grew up in Samarkand City, Former Soviet Union in a family of physicians. Following in my father's footsteps in 1987, I graduated from Samarkand State School of Medicine, one of the oldest medical schools in the region.
I completed my training in pediatric surgery and had advanced training in pediatric surgery at Moscow's Children's Hospital. In 1994 I arrived in the USA after completing all requirements and passing all my medical boards. I successfully did residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in the department of pediatrics.
In 2001-2002 I was working as a clinical instructor at Columbia University Children's Hospital division of Neonatology. I started my private practice in 2002 while continuing working as a hospitalist at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Emergency Room at Flushing Hospital. In 2006 I moved to full time private practice only, where I have been since.
I am happily married for over 25 years and have three children.
