This is the most important appoinment and is crucial. The pediatrician will ask to see your baby in the first week to make sure everything still seems to be going well. They will measure the baby to make sure it's growth is on track, observe his eating, his development and behavior, and perform another physical exam. If your baby child has not already had one he will perform a metabolic/hemoglobin screening.
